Nicole Salameh completed her BSc in Biology at the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. After that, she obtained her MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Cyprus. She has been working at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, at the Cytogenetics and Genomics Department since 2002 which is a College of American Pathologists (CAP) and ISO accredited laboratory. Currently, she holds the position of the Senior Laboratory Scientific Officer. Her work focuses on chromosomal abnormalities which are the cause of many human disorders and conditions, such as mental retardation, learning difficulty, autism, congenital abnormalities, infertility and miscarriages.

She is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) and the European Cytogenetics Association (ECA) and she is a certified inspector of the ISO15189, Medical Laboratories. She participated in many trainings and conferences in Europe and the US.

She has been working at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, at the Cytogenetics and Genomics Department since 2002. Since 2012, she holds the position of the Senior Laboratory Scientific Officer. Her work focuses on cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics and molecular analyses including array-CGH. She participated in many trainings and conferences in Europe and the US. Recently she was trained on cancer cytogenetics at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in New York. She is a member of the European Cytogenetics Association (ECA) and the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG). She also is a board member of the Cyprus Society of Human Genetics (CSHG) and a certified inspector of the ISO15189, Medical Laboratories.
