Dr Paschalis Nicolaou, PhD, obtained his PhD in Medical Genetics from the University of Thessaly in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING). He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Neurogenetics, with a strong background in molecular genetics and cell biology. He is an Assistant Professor at the CING Postgraduate Education School and a Scientist in the Neurogenetics Department at the CING.

Over the years, He has been actively involved in diagnostic and translational research projects focused on neurodegenerative diseases. He has participated in numerous international research grants and is an author of many peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has served on organizing committees and chaired several scientific sessions at international meetings and conferences. In addition, he serves as a Guest Associate Editor for an international journal and as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals. Dr Paschalis Nicolaou has been a member of the Cyprus Society of Human Genetics since 2004.
