Dr Michaella Georgiadou completed her studies in the UK. She received her BSc in Biochemistry from University College London, her MSc in Integrated Immunology from Oxford University and her PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Imperial College London. She worked as a PostDoctoral Fellow in the department of Molecular Genetics, Function and Therapy at the Cyprus Institute of Genetics for 2 years, where she focused on the development of gene therapies for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. For the past 5 years, she has been a member of the Research and Development Department of Medicover Genetics (formerly NIPD Genetics) and is currently an Assistant Senior Scientist working on the development of prenatal and postnatal genetic products and clinical interpretation. She has been a member of the Cyprus Society of Human Genetics since 2016.
