Dr. Skevi Kyriakou received her BSc in Molecular Medicine and Biochemistry from the University of Essex, United Kingdom, in 2010, followed by her PhD in Medical Genetics from the University of Cyprus in 2015. Her post-doctoral training took place at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, where she was a part of the Translational Genetics Team. Throughout her doctoral and post-doctoral studies, her focus was on epigenetics and transcriptomics, primarily utilizing targeted methodologies such as digital PCR and Next Generation Sequencing for Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) aimed at detecting common fetal aneuploidies. In 2016, she joined the Research and Development department of Medicover Genetics (formerly NIPD Genetics) and currently she is the Genomics Team Leader for the company’s Reproductive Health and Postnatal portfolio.
